With Cultivating Buoyancy Practices & Meditation Guidance, I provide practices and practical tools to private clients and small groups who choose to turn their attention toward their inner life, toward inward-looking processes and self-awareness.
The purpose is to increase one’s awareness of what’s happening in the present moment, to increase one’s familiarity with the whole spectrum of human experience – physical, mental, emotional, spiritual. Thus, experiencing it with fullness, with acceptance, and with curiosity.
Through self-awareness practices, we strengthen our ability to be our own container, to allow with lovingkindness and wisdom our truths, and to hold space for our own unique and unfolding process.
We can begin to view our experiences with an open mind and heart, without judgement or expectation. We notice the arising, changing and passing nature of things. Observing experience as continually unfolding phenomena, as a constantly changing wavelike process, as energy endlessly moving through.
My first introduction to meditation was with my father, inviting me to sit crosslegged across from him on the carpeted living room floor. Some time passed before I began realizing the value of that introspective lesson he’d given me. Then, at 30 years of age, it was the practice of turning inward that allowed me to cross the deep ocean of grief after his death.
When providing clients Cultivating Buoyancy Practices & Meditation Guidance, I draw from a wide breadth of influences and wisdom teachings. To meet clients’ specific requests and needs, various threads of self-awareness practices and practical tools are tailored into a one-of-a-kind weave. My rates are determined on an individual client or small group basis to appropriately reflect each agreement.
